Sunday School Circle of Friends

Who We Are and What We Do

At St. John the Baptist Anglican Church our Sunday school is taught by members of the congregation. There are no special requirements other than a love of God, a love of children, and about one half hour of preparation time. Our classes begin with all of the children joining in with a prayer, a song and a story. They are then divided into their classes, Preschool (ages 3-5), Junior (ages 6-10), and Senior (ages 11-14). It is a relaxed and nurturing environment in which the children participate in age-appropriate crafts, activities and lessons. The children of the Sunday school are also able to take part in special traditional activities such as All Saints Day, the Christmas Parade, Christmas Pageant, Easter Egg hunts. The children join their parents in Church just before the Eucharist and are invited to participate as fully as possible in the remainder of the service.
